WORKING WITH INTAGRAF

WHAT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SERVICES DOES INTAGRAF PROVIDE

We provide commercially focused intellectual property services including IP licensing and sale, new product invention marketing and IP management. In addition, we provide IP guidance, invention commercialisation support, intellectual property strategy, registered design protection, IP monetisation guidance and broader licensing support for inventors, startups and businesses seeking to maximise the value of innovation.

HOW MANY PROJECTS DOES INTAGRAF SUPPORT

Due to the level of commercial considerations and strategic involvement required, we are selective regarding the projects we choose to support further. Projects are assessed based on commercial viability, market potential, barriers to entry, intellectual property position, licensing suitability and broader monetisation opportunities. This selective approach helps ensure appropriate focus, realistic commercial assessment and meaningful support for projects with genuine potential.

DO YOU HAVE AN ASSESSMENT PROCESS - WHAT'S THE INITIAL PROCESS

Yes. Every new project enquiry is subject to a structured two-stage assessment process.

The first stage involves a preliminary assessment designed to evaluate the fundamental aspects of the project, including factors such as the market landscape, barriers to entry, investability, intellectual property position, commercial viability, feasibility and broader monetisation potential. This stage helps establish the overall foundations and commercial suitability of the opportunity.

Should the preliminary assessment be positive, the process then progresses to detailed and in-depth review. This second stage involves deeper examination of areas such as competitive analysis, commercial strategy, development considerations, market environment, licensing or monetisation potential, commercial risks, potential threats and wider strategic factors associated with the opportunity.

Only when a project satisfies the standard of our detailed review, would we consider offering our support, licensing guidance or broader commercialisation assistance.

IS MY INVENTION OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY KEPT CONFIDENTIAL

Yes. Confidentiality is extremely important to us. To safeguard your project and confidential and sensitive information, our assessment and review process is carried out in accordance with our Confidentiality Policy. All enquiries, assessments and commercial discussions are handled professionally and confidentially throughout the process.

Where appropriate or necessary, we also have no issue signing Confidentiality Agreements (CAs) / Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) prior to the disclosure of confidential information or intellectual property details.

IF YOU AGREE TO SUPPORT MY PROJECT, HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

We operate on a either a fixed-fee arrangement, hourly-rate basis or commission structure depending on the nature of the project, level of support required and commercial opportunity involved. Suitable projects are assessed individually to determine the most appropriate working arrangement, allowing flexibility across different types of intellectual property, licensing and commercialisation requirements.

DO TAKE A COMMISSION AND WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE

Yes. Our commission arrangements are assessed individually and can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the project, intellectual property position, commercial potential, licensing opportunities and the scope of work involved. The applicable commission percentage and commercial terms would be clearly outlined within the Letter of Engagement before any formal arrangement proceeds.

WHAT IS A LETTER OF ENGAGEMENT

A Letter of Engagement is a formal legal document that sets out the specific details of the working relationship between Intagraf and the client. It outlines the scope of the project, services to be provided, commercial arrangements, responsibilities, objectives and any agreed fee, hourly-rate or commission structure relevant to the matter.

The Letter of Engagement works alongside our Standard Terms and Conditions, which apply generally to all services and work undertaken by Intagraf. Together, these documents help provide clarity, transparency and professional understanding throughout the intellectual property assessment, licensing and commercialisation process.

DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH UK CLIENTS

No. Although Intagraf is based in the United Kingdom, we work with IP owners, inventors, startups, businesses and both nationally and internationally. Many intellectual property, licensing and commercialisation opportunities extend beyond domestic markets, and we are able to support projects involving international commercial considerations, licensing opportunities and broader market potential depending on the nature of the project.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE INTAGRAF FOR IP LICENSING AND COMMERCIALISATION SUPPORT

No other agency matches Intagraf in terms of process, work ethic, commercial perspective, industry network and broader innovation capability. We combine intellectual property understanding with commercially focused guidance designed to help clients maximise the value, licensing potential and long-term commercial opportunities associated with innovation.

Our approach focuses not simply on intellectual property protection, but on identifying realistic licensing opportunities, strengthening strategic intellectual property positioning and supporting commercially viable routes towards monetisation and market success.

Our team consists of professionals from a broad range of technical fields, commercial sectors and industry disciplines, providing what we believe to be one of the most complete A–Z innovation and commercialisation pipelines available within the UK. From intellectual property strategy, licensing guidance, negotiations and commercial positioning through to product development, industrial design, branding, packaging and production considerations, we provide an integrated level of support and commercial understanding that few organisations can offer.

This wider commercial perspective allows us to identify opportunities others may overlook, anticipate challenges before they become costly problems and provide clearer strategic direction throughout the assessment, licensing and commercialisation process. By combining innovation, technical understanding and commercial strategy, we help reduce risk, strengthen commercial positioning and improve the long-term market potential of intellectual property and innovation projects.
